Daniel M. Muñoz Arboleda - Biography

Daniel M. Muñoz is an assistant professor at Electronics Engineering undergraduate program and at the Mechatronics Systems graduate program which belong to the University of Brasilia (UnB). He has received a PhD in Mecatronics in 2012, a MS in Mechatronics in 2006, both from University of Brasília, and a BS in Physics Engineering from University of Cauca (Colombia) in 2003. He has experience in digital circuit design, FPGAs development for embedded applications, artificial intelligence and bioinspired optimization.

His research focus in hardware architectures using reconfigurable architectures for accelerating applications in the areas of automation and control, robotics and embedded systems. He also works on hardware implementations of bioinspired algorithms and artificial intelligence. Currently, he is working on adaptive reconfigurable systems for fault-tolerance critical applications.

Prof. Daniel M. Muñoz teaches undergraduate courses on Reconfigurable Circuits Design, Digital Systems, VHDL and Integration Project. He also teaches graduate courses on System on Chip Design and Bioinspired Optimization for Engineering Applications.

At University of Brasilia Prof. Muñoz has actuated as an industry coordinator of the Electronics Engineering undergraduate program and also as a Collegiate Board at Faculty of Gama.
